Flashback...

Thought I'd get you up to speed with whats been happening over the last 8 or so months.

The car went into GT Developments (GTD)to have my Equal Length manifold fitted. The car came out 2 days later, blowing. They decided it didn't need gaskets...

So I took it upon myself to get gaskets and fit them accordingly, where to my surprise they had just reused the old nuts and bolts instead of using new ones as requested. After alot of faffing about trying to fit the gaskets, the car was fine. Well until I found more "problems".

Further investigation showed they had lifted the engine to fit the headers and in doing so didn't tighten the engine mounts correctly. This in turn caused the engine to shake vigorously on turn over.

By this time I was adamant I wouldn't take the car back to GTD as they were incapable of carrying out a specific task properly.

Now, you may think "that's just one car that's had problems", well your wrong. My better half's Toyota IQ went in for a "stainless" exhaust system to be built and fitted, this was then flagged up by Toyota as "poor quality and of very bad construction". We later found out that the "stainless" system was just in fact mild steel. From the on we have heard reports from friends that they have had similar problems with there work. I'm not going to keep on about how shite there work is, but will let you discover that as you read through future posts of my blog, as I try and fix the mess they made...

Welcome

Welcome to my blog for Project RA. I purchased the car in the summer of 2009 and have mainly used it as a weekend weapon (thanks to the work Corsa Van). I picked the car up for good money with very low miles, 32595 to be exact. The photo shows the car as it was when I got it home.
